Hurricane Milton Update: Post-Storm Status
Dear supporters,
We’re happy to report that all refuge animals are safe and unharmed following the storm. While several enclosures experienced flooding, many animals were evacuated beforehand. Our team is hard at work with cleanup and preparing the refuge to accept new wildlife intakes. We anticipate being ready to accept animals starting tomorrow. However, all intakes must be confirmed in advance to ensure we have the space and resources needed for proper care.
To submit an intake request, please send a brief description and ONE photo (no videos) to 954-415-8948.
Please note that we have only ONE volunteer managing phone and text communications. Boni, who generously volunteers her time 7 days a week, receives up to 100 calls daily, with even more following storms. We kindly ask for your patience and understanding.
If you found injured or orphaned wildlife after the storm, visit our rescue page for tips on what you can do before bringing the animal to us.
Thank you for your continued support!
